Asda slashes price of six-piece patio set from £89 to just £23

IF you’re looking to kit out your terrace with some new stuff for the long weekend then you should’ve popped by Asda for a bargain patio set today.

A shopper in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook spotted the six-piece patio set on sale for just £22.50, down from £89.

That’s a whopping £66.50 (75 per cent) discount. Sadly, Asda told us after publication that it’s now removed the deal, which was only available in selected stores for a short amount of time.

You also won’t be able to get the bargain online, as it’s still listed for £89 on Asda’s website. You can find your nearest Asda shop using its store locator tool.

The garden furniture comes with four folding chairs, a parasol as well as a matching table with a glass top.

The parasol measures 2.2m tall while the table is 86cm x 86cm, so it should be big enough if you like to eat al fresco with the family.

It’s no wonder then that the deal got people talking, as the post has so far racked up 2,800 comments and 1,700 likes.

While a third one wrote: “I’ve had this set for 6 years and it’s still in perfect condition. Absolutely bargain at that price.”

If you missed out on the deal, the next cheapest price we could find is a used set on eBay for more than double the price at £50.

Loads of retailers have reduced the prices of summer items recently, with Asda also selling a 10ft trampoline worth £100 for just £25.
